Kyle Barker
Kyle Barker, tenor, is a graduate of Texas Christian University and Collin College. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Music Education (Vocal Concentration) and was the head choir director at Carpenter Middle School where his choirs received sweepstakes at UIL. Specializing in classical art music and opera, Mr. Barker also has a passion for Jazz, musical theatre, and pop music. Mr. Barker has sung in many churches in DFW as a soloist and a section leader. Currently, Mr. Barker is a tenor section leader at Highland Park Presbyterian Church and sings with the Highland Park Chorale. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, playing the drums in his band, and playing video games.

Melissa Barker
Melissa Barker is excited to continue her musical journey in teaching the students of PISD. As a graduate from the TCU music education program, she has sung with several churches in the DFW area, was a soloist and sang with TCU Concert Chorale, and conducted ensembles receiving top ratings at UIL concert and sight reading contest. Mrs. Barker served as the assistant choir director at Southwest High School and now teaches private to students across the DFW metroplex. She sings with the Highland Park Chorale and is the director of the Genesis High School Choir at Highland Park Presbyterian. In her free time, Mrs. Barker loves to read, socialize, and garden.

Monica Leone
Monica Leone is a mezzo-soprano who has been teaching voice lessons for close to 20 years. She has taught successful students who have achieved the following: All Region Choir, All Area, All State Choir, roles in musicals, members of Music Corporation and Chamber Singers, Superior ratings on Solos at UIL, recitals, and college scholarships to prestigious music programs across the country. She focuses on teaching a healthy technique while also teaching a variety of styles which is necessary for a well rounded high school choir program. Expertise with foreign language diction is also one of her specialties having lived and performed abroad. She speaks Italian, German, and French. She is thrilled to teach at her alma mater, PSHS, and divides her time performing in the DFW metroplex and also in Europe as a soloist and in professional ensembles.

Michael Nguyen
Michael Nguyen is a tenor, pianist, and private lessons teacher who holds a Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance and Choral Music Education from the University of North Texas. As a voice teacher, Michael possesses the skills to adequately prepare students for any audition process, solo contests, or shows since he was a two year Texas All State, landing 1st chair Tenor 2 his junior year, and was invited to make his Vocal debut with the Baylor Symphony Orchestra after winning the Senior Grand Prize Division at the 2018 Dallas Symphonic Festival. He also won the 2018 DMTA Vocal Solo Performance Contest and advanced to the state level where he proceeded to win 1st place. During his time at UNT, Michael earned 1st place in the 2021 Texoma NATS Competition and the 2021 & 2019 DFW NATS in addition to being invited to sing the National Anthem for events such as the 2022 UNT Graduation Ceremony and 2022 Balloon Festival. Michael also accompanies in the DFW area and currently serves as the accompanist for the Plano Children’s Chorale and the Children’s Chorus of Collin County.
